The LTI 100 LR Ultralyte is designed to look like, handle as and have the presence of a weapon.

This is obvious in comparison.

It is not designed to be held handled or look like a measuring instrument such as rangefinder or measuring tool

I have been talking to this guy and I have decided to buy a police laser, because I really should try it myself, or there is no point talking as If I know what I am talking about, as its all speculation unless I have actually used one & tested it out.

This guy actually has access to the Program that changes the MPH/KPH and METERS/YERDS settings! AND OTHER CONFIGURATIONS! INTERESTING! I am going to ask him if he will do a youtube video with DEMO of the Software and how the device can be changed!

So the cheaper one which I have bought is 100 pulses per second! and the more expensive model which is similar is 125 pulses per second!

It's a specially designed program for changing the parameters of the ultralyte. It's not something you can download. So if you would like me to change to MPH and metres you will have to let me know.

The difference between this and the other (UL & UX) is the technology used in each. The one you have bought is an older version with a PPS of 100. The newer UX version has a 125 PPS (pulse per second) more or less enhanced tracking. It's a newer model hence higher price.

I can declare how ever you would like me too with a low value, you just need to have the story sorted if customs calls you!

There has been an important Judgement in a recent case in Northampton.

Due to the ongoing delays in the case, the client aborted the appeal, and simply appealed to have the costs reduced.

In his Judgement, the Judge rules that the fine be reduced, and accepted the prosecution's costs.

HOWEVER

The Judge completely rejected the CPS expert witness costs because he ruled that Mr. Frank Garratt was not an independent witness.

This is written down in the Judgement, and I am hoping to get a copy of it. In the Judgement, the Judge was quite critical of Mr. Garratt. The Judge also expressed disappointment that the appeal did not go ahead.

Anybody involved in a case featuring Mr. Garratt (or indeed anyone from TeleTraffic or Laser Technology, such as Jeremey Dunne) should get a copy of this Judgement, and use it in their case. Whilst it does not set a precedent, it ought to be very persuasive when used in Court.

I will try to obtain a copy.

Also on the M1 on the way back there was a strange guy on the junction bridge over the motorway around Nottingham/Derby area with an Black SLR Camera (not long range lens) who pointed it at me exactly as I was passing the junction!

exactly after i had a mysterious inclination to do a little laser pointer experiment on the back of a cars licence plate.. as if the camera man knew i was going to be going past & used "the force" on me

I had also just bought the brand new star wars "the force awakens" DVD as well from Warwick! Check todays newspaper as well!

How Lasers Work The word "laser" stands for "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation".

Knowing the constant speedoflight,itis then easy to calculate the distance traveled.

For increased accuracy, ourlasersprocess as many as sixty pulses in a single measurement period.Target acquisition times range from 0.3to 0.7 seconds.Sophisticatedaccuracy validation algorithms areinplace to ensure a reliable reading.

LTI lasers are completely eye safe, meeting FDA Class 1 specifications. The radiated light power of ourlasersis on the order of 50 microwatts,or approximately one twentieth the light power of a typicalTV remote control.

Hmm does not sound Very strong at all.

50 microwatts is 0.05mw milliwatts

Hmmmm.... How can it even get an accurate reading?!

Hmmmmm...

Just a minute.

A laser pen still if not pointed towards you is nowhere near as bright as a camera flash unit!? That is containing UV light and white light as well!?

So how can newspaper photographers be allowed to take photos of people in public with a flash, if you cannot use a laser pen, briefly? Because if the flash stayed on it would hurt your eyes! Let alone distract you!

I actually think that the speed camera flash of the other side of the road is even questionable!?

So.... If a magistrate decided Frank Garrett is not an independent witness, then how can a road safety partnership magistrate, prosecution be independent from the police? For fair trial?
