So.. according to this i found on google search...

It IS illegal to use 30mph speed limit repeater signs in A Lit area...

Direction 11 of The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (TSRGD 2002) defines the requirements for the placing of speed-limit repeater signs. This states that speed-limit repeater signs cannot be placed along a road on which there is carriageway lighting not more than 183 metres apart and which is subject to a 30 mph speed limit. The Department will not make exceptions to this rule.

So i was correct to Challenge Lancashire police about it, from information on the Bedfordshire police website.

Here is a 40mph road in Bolton, by Bolton school.. where the Street lighting it completely obscured by large trees all along the road!? Good jov it is not a 30mph road, eh?

Retford errors at roundabout problems and a 40mph to 30mph speed limit change on a 9 meter wide road, just compare to the oversized Shelley village signs I inspected as example!

I uploaded the traffic signs manual roundabout image showing minimum signage requirements for a roundabout but the image hosting site is not displaying it.

the image is in a few other threads though, see Ossett bypass roundabout for similar details. The image gives minimum of signage as opposite exits on the road that intersects with additional signs strongly reccomended, which for multiple speed limits will be absolutely essential.

The Difficult thing to PROVE in ALL of this would be the Council & police not WANTING to give the best signage, but as that contradicts Road safety, which they promote it would literally be "The Death of the Police Pride" if it were proved.

But if you care to read this statement here from Nottinghmshire police force....

In a collision, if a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at 30mph they would have an 80% chance of survival.

If they were hit at 40mph they would have a 90% chance of death.

Now the problem with that is that for example.. the Ossett bypass isnt supposed to really have any pedestrians & has a foot bridge. Also they havent even bothered putting the full correct uniform safety features & legal signs up until & complained & then only some of them!

Also What about a motorcycle rider & seat belt collisions? Cyclist?

They seem to "Use" accident statements to shape how they want to do road enforcement and to "back it up" with emotional or "Guilt" material.

Yet they feel Zero guilt for taking driving licences or giving fines. And how about parking fines? no one gets hurt in a parking fine of 10 minutes over time, yet they display the same Simon Byrne "Ruthlessness"

How about..

On the Road with incorrect signage a driver is 50% less likely to see or respond to directions? and twice as likely to be caught speeding past a police camera van

They dont seem to WANT to go in that direction. They ignore all road sign complaints unless you really badger them about it.

My letter to Steve Finnegan Lancashire police chief... requesting F.O.I. of secretary of state for transport authorization for use of his 30mph repeater signs in a lit road.. where his safety camera officer was enforcing the speed limit..

11/05/2016 at 15:34 on the A681 Todmorden road, Bacup.
Drive on a road a motor vehicle whilst not wearing a seat belt when lawfull exemption from the offence in in place.

Police officer questioned over suspected Enforcement of speed limit with unauthorized illegal road signage classed as obstruction to driving, stated in traffic signs manual chapter 3 20008, which lists incorrect signage as specifically worded "UNLAWFULL" as per road markings chapter.

Dear Lancashire police, this is a freedom of information act request.

Please provide any or all written authorization from the secretary of state for transport for permission or special direction to use 30mph speed limit signs in a a street lit road.

Also, to note in relation to the above seat belt charge, no time or distance is given in the legislation. Only in the Highway code guidance which takes into account only getting in & out of the vehicle to deliver goods, not for observation of, inspection of and fast access to goods and load in emergency or to watch load, as per taxi driver and PCV vehicle passenger watching. Likewise \highway code gives 23 meters stopping distance minimum and longer for larger vehicles than cars - 30meters + to stop safely and not cause hard braking or sudden action to other drivers. This highway code non legislative guidance, as is the seatbelt distance also carries no time set or distance in the legislation. Which is the reason it is possible for Dorset police chief Debbie simpson to legally allow 1 second proseution threshold as no legislative time for amber is stated by law. Same as with sealbelt, only that if you are delivery driving you dont have to wear one. The permit threshold to exceed the speed limit > 36mph is NOT legislated for leaway. Thus to give permit to exceed 30mph is a criminal offence. Where amber light has no exact time distance or speed. Those are the legislative facts.

I can not be prosecuted for any offence while undertaking work used for my petition. The petition itself is a legal permit to park, stop, drive without seatbelt and use notices without any law being used to punnish me. I could with consent punch a man in the face for a anti violence demonstration exhibit in public, without the police being able to act to arrest me. And it could be possible to do it without consent if it were necessary. such as in physical self defence. Such as political self defence. I might be able to borrow someones motorcycle or car without consent, but that is an extreme example.. sufficient permit that pre exists in simple daily life.. permit/no permit. blue badge, parking, taxi, delivery common permit. the petition is permit to make, distribute use and deliver notice for purpose. make and use media which is also exempted from legislation as permit of any 18 certified or otherwise controlled media. There are other permits available to the every day man. Cans & cannots. medicine permits.. the petition might be about a new medicine or procedure, abortion or such and require more complex demonstration or information to be collected about various substances to offer the public to for opinion. thus possession is given political "permitt" that is the entire point.

please provide the permit to use 30mph speed signs in a lit area by special authorization from the secretary of state for transport.
I can not be prosecuted for the sealbelt no offence has occured.

Here is a 30mph Police repeater sign. Notice they are not YELLOW HIGH VISIBILITY. So are not even that visible at night time.
Also my using the ODD 30mph sign illegally in a LIT area you might be set up subconsciously to question any road section further along that is wider and you might assume it is 40mph if you dont keep seeing the 30mph repeater signs.

Thats the "trick" with this one.

Also NO identity or Warranty sticker on most of these for duration it has been in place for.

More investigations into Road signs materials

Evidence and investigations can be handed to the Crown Proscution Service by the police, an independent investigations organisation or ANY PERSON. You can do a Citizens arrest. Thus you can hand any of your owm investigations & evidence directly to the CPS bypasing the Police. So you can do police work.

I have already submitted a Star Wars Darth vader helmet USB Stick of evidence Directly to Lancashire Crown Prosecution service. At lords Walk. I have Letters to them as well. Thus I have beyond reasonable doubt been doing my own police work investigations into Road Traffic Enforcement.
