This is my Archive evidence of incorrect road signage around the UK, examples I have found, while travelling, driving around the Uk.. to Show This Road signage is a problem that needs correcting by the Department of Transport, Highways England & Local Council authorities. Some Road Signage Errors will require those Traffic Authorities to contact the Local Police Authority to correct any errors in road traffic enforcement carried out on those roads see example process in this Leeds Council story www.wharfedaleobserver.co.uk/news/1990095.legal_loophole_closed_after_fines_for_speeding_at_rawdon_are_refunded/I have been in to Shropshire Council and had similar action from the Council (Highways Contract manager) to West Mercia Police, for the A49 Shropshire (Church Stretton) as well. Current Roads I still am waiting action for are the m66/A56 Haslingden bypass (national speed limit & repeater signs) leading onto the A682 (Lancashire police) ad the A1 Elkesley (Department of Transport's Authority for Highways England to Nottinghamshire Police) & Wakefield Council to West Yorkshire Police for the A638 Ossett bypass. I believe correlated together there is a connection between these roads & others which Required Department of Transport action to several Police Forces over enforcement corrections.

So after the examples, you can see that really they can use "any excuse" to be ble to claim to fit nearly any size sign.. But there are many cases where the bracket sizes are *not* used and much bigger, or smaller terminal signs are used.. and you wouldnt know they are the incorrect size. Unless you measured them... but they are most always with some other kind of distraction.. either lots of yellow box or other script. And sizes OTHER than the allowed bracket size are used illegaly. When that size is NOT permitted.. and because of the jungle of mis match sign shapes.. it disguises this fact. Camouflage.
The main ones that are of concern here are "too large" signs as you approach a higher speed leaving somewhere. You will see it "too early" and might accelerate "too early" and get caught speeding while going out of the village, or into it. By slowing down a little too late, like my dads example. Or chaging speed too gradually or just copying the car in front.
Lots of excessive decorations, shapes, name signs.. all used as distraction. And a lot never cleaned, left unmaintained when money is spent on new signs and wasted instead of the old signs just being cleaned.

And the fact of if it is a dual carriageway or not doesnt seem to matter.. because just look at the Ossett bypass for Example and the Wrexham bypass with ODD signs... This is why the ROUNDABOUTS should have SIGNAGE for speed BOTH ON EXIT AND ENTRANCE because the signs should be back to back, like this... But they dont bother with it at roundabouts when they SHOULD be doing! An example is the A1 Beeston again... 50mph.. mobile camera van and only a repeater sign, not 2 terminals.. when the side roads are different speeds. Also at that roundabout is the National speed limit sign to the left hand side as a subconscious rouse.... not unlike the Europort sign at the Ossett bypass.

On exit from the M60 motorway.... these are not the correct size, i am quite certain. why didnt they match the backing size? Another case of Bracketeering.. right here.

The Police making excuses for it not being their fault for road signs being wrong or checking them... so here are again the illegal 300mm National speed limit signs, NOGT in either the Traffic Signs Regulations and Directions 2002 OR the Traffic Signs Manual 2008 Regulatory signs, Chapter 3. Here near Runcorn, these police placed and created signs of illegal type bridge the link between the police and Highways both collaborating with illegal use of signage and direction. Thus one cannot keep blaming the other.

LCES sign shop. not the band called "Pink". 2 is company, 3 is a crowd. 4 is illegal. Carrignton M60. to add to the other naughties. There is a video of that but i put it in a days compilation video.. 20th of April i think it was.

What we need to do is find out who and what Minister or person was actually responsible for the "TWEET" style line of Legislation about the "street lighting being 200yds apart and if they are still alive?
And ask them what they actually meant by the legislation, if it was for night time? and just to help make remote villages safer or if it was infact for dense urban areas with lots of jungle postsing and areas like London?
Can we ask the actual person? the Problem with the Road traffic act itself is that unlike the previous Highway law, by Lawyers - C.A. Cross and J.F. Garner - Andover and Prestwich who we could question for clarity and assistance and whom are accountable for that Law...
The "Ministers" of the following Road traffic act seem to mostly remain "unknown" a bit like the Sith in Star wars and hide behind the "Crown" and Government.
And could it be even possible that one or all were rewarded with "Barrels of rum" for the work itself by The Monarch for being a score of "poet laureates" and Scarlet pimpernel's specializing in "Converse" legislation and rudimentary verse.
