Ok so i did speak to Angela Ditchfield.
She did not get any community service for her Extinction Rebellion actions of criminal damage.
Only fines.
If we remember she was acquitted. Then the CPS went after wanting to get her convicted... So they could just try to make what she did unlawful.
So they went all the way to the fuss of the high court. And got her convicted and turns out it is only a fine she got.
So they purely wanted to make a point.
Also what is insane . Is that a local guy spray painted multiple post boxes, electric boxes solid silver and yellow and a tardis.. and only got a caution for first offence.. which is what mine was..
So... I got Community service quite a large number of hours first offence for paper stickers a small number in manchester. A fine i think it was from Huddersfield.
Insane injustice and i was protected and had all the right law on them too.
Also i have been talking to Angela about the fact that some petitions have more public support than registered charities and can be recognized good causes by public interest. And that can qualify to write off court orders for community service... So if it cancels it out then doesnt it make sense why you are protected in the first place? From being prosecuted!
I really think XR still either have been let of lightly or on the more serious cases they havent got it exactly correct yet.
Then there is this new policing bill issue
