So.. You are supposed to "Code" or so called "calibrate" the glucometers so that it iscset accurately to your own body readings and values..
The Nurse coded my nexus mini for me. But it might have gone of calibration.
That contour device of my dads that i borrowed is one of the devices that doesnt require coding or calibrating.
But what about devices that doctors ate using? They cannot be re coded every time a new patient walk in?!
www.jeancoutu.com/en/health/health-tips/why-do-you-need-to-code-your-blood-glucose-meter/Hmmmmmm.....
No the instructions for the GlucoRX nexus mini do NOT mention coding. You dont code it. It does it itself.
The Nurse must have coded one of the other machines in the surgery to test my levels one time.. Thats when she mentioned it.
What you do get though is a bottle of test liquid that you are periodically supposed to use which is meant to be exactly 5.5 to see if the device is accurate.
But... I tried it the other week and it didnt even react with the strip... No error. No reading. Nothing. Hmm.
Also i dont see how that helps. Because the accuracy is meant to be by your blood VOLUME .. So your size, weight, height and blood volume would be more important.
And you dont enter those values into these devices...
So im guessing that they have just averaged it out...
Hmmmmmm here....
care.diabetesjournals.org/content/28/7/1836THEY TESTED MANY DEVICES ON MULTIPLE PATIENTS.
AND AGREE IN FINDINGS THAT THE DEVICES DO NOT GIVE ACCURATE RESULTS INSIDE THE REGULATION REQUIREMENTS ADVISED.
ALSO A SMALLER SAMPLE OF BLOOD GIVES MORE ERRORS. USUALLY TOO LOW READING.
BUT, THIS ENTIRE EXPERIMENT IS SET UP TO SOUND LIKE ITS THE SAMPLE SIZE THAT MAKES THE READING MORE ACCURATE.
THE SAMPLE SIZE.
NOT THE SIZE AND VOLUME OF EACH INDIVIDUAL PATIENT.
THEY DID NOT CROSS REFERANCE THE SIZE AND WEIGHT AND BLOOD VOLUME OF EACH PATIENT WITH THE OTHER PATIENTS FOR A SPECIFIC READING.
THUS THIS EXPERIMENT IS A DISTRATIOIN FROM THE FACT THAT ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A CHEAP BLOOD GLUCOSE METER CALIBRATED TO YOUR OWN SPECIFIC BLOOD CONTENT, AND ALSO YOUR BLOOD CONTENT OVERALL VOLUME MIGHT CHANGE.. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU CUT YOURSELF OR GO AND DONATE BLOOD.Thus in FACT it DOESNT MATTER IF YOU GET A ADEQUATE BLOOD ***SAMPLE*** onto the test strip.. ANYWAY because the machine will not be calculated to YOU. YOUR OVERALL CURRENT BLOOD VOLUME.
ITS IN FACT VARIABLE DAY TO DAY.
ALSO YOU CANNOT ENTER THE WEIGHT OF YOUR BODY AND HEIGHT INTO THE MACHINE EVERY MORNING BECAUSE YOU MIGHT CHANGE WEIGHT AFTER HAVING A POO OR PEE.
THUS... BLOOD VOLUME CANNOT BE ENTERED BY YOUR BODY WEIGHT. BECAUSE YOU CHANGE FAT CONTENT AND PEE PEE CONTENT EVERY SINGLE DAY.
GET IT.
WHY AM I TYPING IN CAPITALS BECAUSE SOMEBODY POWERED OFF MY PHONE WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS TWICE EVEN WHEN I PLUGGED THE POWER IN FORCING ME TO USE THE COMPUTER THATS WHY.
AND YES THE DR.DOCTOR IN HUDDERSFIELD POLICE STATION WHO DIAGNOSED ME WAS. I REPEAT WAS..
A NEAR ENOUGH SPITTING IMAGE LOOK ALIKE OF DR.NO. From the film. Dr.No with glasses.
FACT
Why you cannot just weight yourself and measure height to enter into a glucometer every day..
1. PEE PEE and POO POO weight. variable (toilet, drinking, eating)
2. bodyfat % variable (loosing/gaining weight, fat)
3. blood content % variable (loosing, gaining blood, injury, donation, manufacture, periods)So if each different HAND and thumb, finger every session can vary from +/- 0.8mmol/l then what about the ADDED blood volume for individuals AND the other variables?!
than they say to claim thumbs and arms have delayed "Time" reading from recent to earlier/30 minis ago..
THESE DEVICES ARE NOT CAPABLE OF TRACKING A HEALTHY EXACT BLOOD GLUCOSE READING.Only for tracking it GENERALLY if its way too High & Bringing it down to regular levels.
it is NOT ANY USE FOR ACCURACY AND TRACKING AFTER BRINGING IT WITHIN NORMAL RANGES.
