Ok... Im pretty certain you will have heard it all before....
But this diet seems to be going well at least for loosing weight.
I dont think i will keep buying the big bags of fresh spinach...
But. I can see that for the perfect diabetic dream diet...
You would have a large bowl or fruit bowl.. Or those salade dishes out in the kitchen... And you would put a big bag of the gresh spinach leaves in to it.
Also sprinkle some walnuts into it and approx 500g dried sliced mushrooms.
And that you would just snack on all day.
For breakfast you would have an Egg and a glass of milk or multivitamin shake. And either sausage or bacon. Just 1 or 2.
But the think is.. Its not very nutritious. Its neutral to diabetics and has protein... But Mackerel is better because it has omega6 and 9 as well as protein and vitamin D. But the sausage is tasty...
Anyway.. You dont have a lunch because you have the graze bowl...
Then for Tea time you have 1 or 2 Tins of Mackerel. And you dont have the tin of spinach and mint sauce because youve snacked on spinach all through...
If you want something later on.. Have a glass of milk or shake...
I do think the eating all through the day works well... Contrary to Dr.Berg..
This is for 1,000 calories. And you never feel hungry doing it that way.
But another way would be to make a soup not on flavour but 100% on daily requirements... So you put your spinach.. Mushrooms.. And such... Cooked meat protein into a soup calculated to exactly the daily nutritional requirement and hope it fors perfectly into a flask...
Then you just drink that through the day 1 cip instead of a cup of tea... Every couple of hours... Or just as....
I think either of those 2 plans are better than this 1 or 2 meal a day thing. If you are dieting on 1000 calories as you dont get hungry then.. And these are low insulin stimulation foods.
I am enjoying the bteakfast a lot. Especially cumberland sausage ring!
But im starting to be good for my bloos sugars now... And im more bothered about getting the nutrients into the diet.
So.. For me. The mackerel or salmon just makes more sense in what it can add nutrition wise WITH the protein.
Thats why milk is good. But you have a bit in tea anyway..
Milk.Egg.Mackerel.spinach.Mushrooms
And you dont really need multivitamins or the nutrition shake...
Its pretty easy when you get into it.
Just be creative with how you have each one.. By the time youve tried them all and got bored you should have lost quite a lot of weight.. And be thinking about actually what you are going to eat when you have lost enough and then ate going to ramp back up... But keep it low carbs still.
I was having soups earlier in the diet when i was only having 500calories a day for a few week. Until my metabolism slowed down. So might go back to soup again.
Its a shame i cant just design my own products for them to sell. Lol. I dont mind preparing it myself...tho.
