They Claim speed cameras in Oxfordshire were switched off and the number of road deaths increased.
Why is it that the police claim only certain speed cameras are switched on at one time??? Not all of them. It is random?
More bullshit I say.
On another section of this forum you will find some statistics from speed camera history in BARTON, Cambridgeshire.
The camera appeared to have no single prosecution before the month I requested the statistics! and 700 or so that month.
Yet the road had been 40mph 2 year previously - no prosecutions! No one was speeding so they had to LOWER the speed limit to 30mph where it appeared STILL NO NONE WAS SPEEDING!! then suddenly (do they turn the camera on only one month?) they catch 700+ people.
So if they are telling the truth and the camera has not been used for over 5 years previously or so what was the point of the camera being there??? IT MIGHT AS WELL HAVE BEEN NOT INSTALLED.
There is something very sinister about these cameras & the recording of history & settings.
The "speed threshold allowance" is being changed.
I give testimony to this because I drove on a road every day for months just under 40mph and then one week FLASH. at about 36 mph.
Now either the cameras are not being used or the settings are set higher and then one week they "LOWER" the settings because hardly anyone is truly racing past the cameras or else the road used to be 40mph and has been changed to 30mph but still has a 40mph profile. and as I have said before if you allow people to drive in excess of the speed limit it is CAUSING & PERMITTING DRIVERS TO EXCEED THE SPEED LIMIT & AN OFFENCE BY THE COUNCIL & POLICE.
There is something very sinister about this entire claim of only certain cameras being on. I dont believe it. I think they are on all the time but have the settings changed and the police or someone deletes the history to hide the statistics of the lowest speeds triggering the camewra on different days & months.
If this guardian report has any common sense to it why are they CLAIMING all these deaths when speed cameras are turned off when they WERE NOT ALL ON ALL THE TIME IN THE FIRST PLACE APPARENTLY??
So WHAT IS THE TRUTH??? the truth seems to be whatever the police wants to tell us, or lead us to believe when it suits them & for what purpose they require.
I have already seen evidence of accident statistic duplication on West Yorkshire Polices website for the Ossett bypass and the figures were presented in a way to make it look like there were more incidents then in truth.
Also on the Ossett bypass that is illegally signed, the accidents have gone UP, even though it has upto 4 mobile speed camera sites on the road (no stopping road) and at least 30 incorrect unsafe features.
Money is not spent on putting the signs right. The police do not want to admit that they WANT TO CATCH PEOPLE SPEEDING ON THE ROAD.
I even donated an electronic speed sign to the police & council to make the road safer and the police do not want to use it on the road. Even though Blackpool council operate a similar electronic speed sign on a dual carriageway road in Lancashire.
