Identifying widespread variation in human capacity for understanding.
In the 1600s it was the situation where only a minority of the subjects could read and write.
Reading and writing was limited to those fortunate enough to be schooled at the university or through the church or private tuition
So it was a matter of being able to get the education access.
People unable to read and write had to get others to do it for them.
It IS possible for everyone to achieve a competent level of reading and writing. True that once everyone has access to it. We then become aware that there are different levels and grades that can be achieved by different individuals..
So there is clearly a difference in ability that becomes apparent WHEN everyone does have access to education and it's a requirement. We then find differences in capabilities.
Now, I have come to realise that it's not just reading and writing that is a problem.
That is because now, most everyone can actually read and write...
But it is now apparent that through interaction with everyone who can in fact read and write..
There are very different abilities in the actual (understanding) context and application of what is "being read"
For someone can read the sentence, words and text without problems.. but it is now clear that there is a huge gap in ability to hold, comprehend and work in mindfulness and understanding of archetypal principles.. being worked with and applied in working context with the text and its information into real life applications with space for workable possibilities of wider use and understanding.
There is a term..
"Getting your head around something"
And this is a major obstacle.. I have found with staff.. of..
Police
Hospitals
Lawyers
Government committees
Where people with even a degree and training are not able to understand and accept concepts and applications even when it is clear written and given on paper in front of them.. reading the words..
Either training, prior policy.. or other reasons are preventing them from being able to understand and accept, act even where it is clearly set out that then can and should do so. In fact it's part of the rules.
This is a major and serious obstacle for certain education level people.. because there is clearly an obstacle and obstruction in being able to engage and carry out various required procedures..
And it is something that needs to be acknowledged and given attention to.
In fact.. "training" is often counterproductive to actual intelligence and knowledge in many of these so called training programs..
What is actually being done, is counter productive to understanding..
Its actually "conditioning" to resist, prevent and stop understanding, knowledge and intelligence from insight and understanding
Insight.
I think is the right word to use.
Lack of and resistance to insight.
And no matter what the degree, Qualifications or rank of the people in question...
There seems to be no grade or Qualifications or tools we can use to approach and successfully bridge the gap of insight that exists between certain people.. which is causing many problems and obstructions in day to day life.
