This is from the Hello & Welcome thread updates.... A day delivering with an encounter with the Rotherham mobile camera van and then in the Evening i go to measure the M60 motorway 50mph signs.. that are Sir Peter Fahys high scoring cameras for his teams top of the police premiership speed camera figures...

Basically Fahy has the completely wrong size signs up on the M60 as of at least March 2016. A size prescribed only for roadworks. 1500mm. And I have Checked other Motorways 50mph sections and they are 1200mm. Except on the M621 Leeds there is a 900cm one with a 1200mm one (ODDS and SODS) .. and I havent measured Fahy's Pal Jon Murphy's M62 signs yet.. although i know the repeater spacing is dodgy on these as i have had a look at them a few times passing (see google maps end of M62)

Peniston, Rotherham, Retford, Gainsborough and Wakefield. Then M60 in the evening.

The odds are defied again.. Black car accident and police van on the way to work.. completely pointless accident Another black car again.. starting to get tedius... Then South Yorkshire police Safety camera van outside Sir Jacks in Rotherham.. chances?! anyway... illegal size signs and i get evidence.. but this camera guy doesnt want to comment at all! closes his hatch up! - plus more dodgy signs to the collection for the Bracketeering thread and some other questionable signs... then i find MASSIVE signs when they should be small!? completely opposite to the situation earlier at Sir Jacks with the camera guy where the signs were too SMALL off the motorway... So I few videos measuring stupid sized signs... and then because i have done the subject of HUGE signs or too SMALL in exatcly the opposite situation... After work.. later on I decide its about time to measuree the M60 50mph Peter Fahy signs.. as I noticed thay were rather large.. has someone changed them over?! Oh & i call past West Yorkshire police HQ seeing as im in Wakefield and a woman walks past in Black with a pink streak in her hair.. no idea if it was the Chief of police.. probably not.. It was a similar type of looking woman to Jo Wily face. Then i found the Probation service HQ by accident looking at a brick flatbank that i never knew was in Wakefield.. and on the Way back past Dewsbury police station i realise that the approach to the traffic lights opposite Dewsbury police station .. well some signs block the clear view of the traffic lights (Fixed camera lights) So they DO need the Traffic Light warning sign in place.. Like when you are driving down hill the other way and they DO have the sign the other side for that camera there! before the bend!

Oh, and just to mock the black car Morning accident on my way to work... There was a black car after going to the M60 in the late evening.. it was Snowing and hail, but the motorway was running fine.. no speed limit in place at all!? AND roadworks out on the carriageway working?! no speed limit needed!? But then another police vehicle over Rishworth Moor.. A black smashed up car outside lane... you could hardly see it!? the legend signs said caution accident! slow, but no compulsory limit at all, and everyone was going around it fine... and the roadworks as well! in the snow! at Dark!? it was just way too co-incidental vibe to the Black car this morning, the two yesterday and this.. that it is just too Suspicious to be random. Either someone is taking the pee, pee or Something else... I do not think these were just "regular occurances" but that is just an opinion.

A couple of signs for the day... Triangle and circle shape is the most important part of the sign! NO IT ISNT ITS THE NUMBERS! NO. SHAPE. NO! NUMBERS!



Sir Jack designed a road sign where the numbers never faded.. ever.. or was that the red edge never faded.. ever...
one or the other, anyway..

The wind keeps blowing the tape measure! while trying to measure the signs and i get pissed off! lol.


Gainsborough, the low and too frequently placed 50mph signs at where the laughing mobile camera man & friend site is, where i waved at guy and he filmed it and i was shown the video at Dewsbury police station/PC Walker. But not charged for any stickers from other forces than Manchester/West Yorkshire.


Blythe, HUGE motorway size signs! on a regular road!? when, earlier.. the speed camera van was enforcing a road which needed those! but had too small size signs in place on exit off the motorway instead!? and his device could not be used as prosecuting evience under such circumstances! are we paying for all of these wrong signs?! why are they wrong?!

Blythe, just after the signs.. talking to a woman who was mowing her grass about how long the huge signs have been there for and we got talking about council planning and the fact they ignore objections to building projects.

And not to forget.... I have been told (police quote) that the police are only responsible for placing and maintaining the police and speed camera signs. Not the other road signs. (which is a loada crap) as they have to check all of them or the equipment is useless as evidence... but.. lets go with them on this.... here we have... POLICE CAMERA AND 300mm 50MPH SPEED SIGN COMBOS .. OF ILLEGAL SIZE.
so whats the excuse for this one? The Police have the Authority to Prescribe road signs now? and sizes that are illegal and not in the manual at all? The Chief can authorize them? Thus the Chief can authorize all signs and any sign and in fact.. has the same Powers at the Secretary of State for Transport.. and the Police Chief is a lot more active and involved in road signs and the placing of and psychology of road signs than he cares to admit, or be responsible for or answerable to?



The police DID check the numbers hadnt faded on this sign, when they were placing the camera sign underneath it, right?

04 March, A check and measuring survey of other 50mph signs with Motorway approach speed. To compare to the Fahy Manchester M60 ones.

M621 Leeds, M606 Bradford, M62/A1 Junction, (M62 Liverpool to follow)

Leeds M621, ODD sizes mismatch. Central sign is 1200mm the other is 900mm, same with National speed signs opposite way. Also a repeater too large as well. Things to note... CENTRAL sign, no issues with plcing it in centre of motorway, yet other National speed limit signs "end of variable speed limit" have smaller signs in centre, with a claimed excuse that there isnt enough space, yet this example completely contradicts that.

A fixed speed camera, then a 40mph bit just before the traffic lights.

I got the measurements currently at 1200mm... but there seems some changes apparent? on google maps to the current sign set-up.. so has it been changed a few times?! One thing is for certain... the sign sizes are NOT the same as the M60 (which i think has changed as well) or the same as the M621 which has a 900mmm sign.

So you might be able to find out more? were people caught by PC Bateson on Motorway patrol on the M60 as well as the average speed cameras?! because I am certain the 50mph area started further back, but was changed not so long ago and the google maps record changed as well!?

Old sign configuration? can you tell what chances there have been here? Something seems unusual to me.

The hat trick again.. 3 signs, probably another excuse to have the earlier 50mph section at a junction and with three signs.



1200mm measurements



So, added to the M621, M62/A1, M606 and M60 Breadbury... then the signs are not consistent. So the question is... DOES the 2013 Traffic signs Manual override the 2002 guidance ? It says that 1500mm is only for roadworks, and that no 300mm National speed limit signs are prescribed ever.

Unless there has been special authorization. But why ? when in identical instances other places they have not been so authorized?!

Also... at Haslingden... remember there are NO SIGNS AT ALL, where REQUIRED! on the LIT carriageway!

The fact is this... are the signs just a distraction from the fact.. Someone has been dicking around with the speed limits? Not ONLY to SLOW people down for whatever reason.. but to FINE AND BAN people as well.. (PUNNISHMENT) and this is NOT being done equally across the uk, as different forces and CPS offices are NOT gicing equal code of practice decisions at all. Other people can do speed awareness courses once a year, others every 3 years only, or face a very disturbing and traumatising court legal abuses, for something otherwise insignificant.

Does Peter Fahy and other Police officers just like to Touch young boys driving licences for fun? and "chase" them in Police cars, when at a younger teenage officer age?

Bike area doesnt make sense. 16 years of drivers banned for bike safety propaganda . Police chiefs sexes driving licences for bike safety scheme sacrifice.



"Fool-proof ideas" like hide a speed camera in a Horse Box. And call them "Speed cameras" not Ambetamine cameras.

XL filters

See you can get extra large traffic light filters. Really traffic lights next to all give way filter lanes (Like the Macclesfield traffic lights) SHOULD have bigger filters as well, so as not to confuse drivers. This happens many places when you continue straight on but side lane traffic lights are on red... you can think.. Hmmm should i stop now? err nope thats for right turn!
