Here I will post and question some road markings that I belive are not correct, or are questionable. This has implications on Fines, and was initiated mainly because I have been challenging the Parking of police vehicles and their use of roadside works safety equipment regulations, and the asking of various permissions to park. Also that many markings are not legal and that the Police Chiefs powers have been abused. There is not really any proper place for mobile police camera vans with the current road network. The Radar guns started and then they switched to laser, which requires more stable positioning. That was not orchestrated. The plan should have been to put those portable cabins in specific places, like "hides" for bird watching. Put people would have got wise to them, like fixed cameras & they wanted to have locations that changed or cycled. This has ended up being done NOT TO REGULATIONS OR PROPER LEGISLATION OR TO PROPER EQUIPMENT USE GUIDANCE.
Anyway... here are the examples of various road markings. I will add a note and you decide of I am correct or not. I will then go see the Highways agency/Road Signs manual to see what it says..
Fo the majority of these photos I was stopped & pulled over as parked. I question the new vehicles that have engine cut off fitted, as when you stop, the engine cuts off, and if you put the handbrake on, it is physically parked. You can not be driving if the engine is off.
The Law likes to use "intent" to do things as motive. If the engine is off, can you drive? I INTEND TO WIN £100 on a scratch card. Can I be prosecuted for it? I INTEND TO WIN THE 100 meters sprint in the Olympic games. (With the odds being near impossible, can you be prosecuted for thinking that you will do it, even though it is not within your power or ability to do so?)
Anyway, This is for the petition & I am doing my own police work as a amateur detective to gather evidence. I also have lawful excuse. And I intend to petition for special driver training courses to licence people to do certain things when driving.. that usually only the police are allowed to do.
Also I would like to know where all the fine money is going from parking fines ? as it is NOT going on getting the road markings done correctly!

Ok So most of these are from Manchester road, which is a 30mph set (40mph road) in places. a popular speed trap & the parking & markings are haywire I noticed today... The rest are from nearby areas to Manchester road. Strangely some of these photos have come out unusual as if it has a tilt shift focus. usually everything is in focus at that distance? probably just me. anyway.. Private off road parking signs? Legal or non legal? ASK for permission of land owner? The double yellow lines go straight across this private parking & lane. There is ALSO a white edge line which has faded off or been covered up? I would say that the double yellow lines are incorrect. It should have a keep clear (white line with T ends) as is directly across the road. I dont think the road work men "could be bothered" to do it. they just went straight across with the marking machine) The white line IS broken, but you dont have BOTH. The yellow lines should stop across here. With a keep clear. What do you think? (compare to following examples) Across the road from the above. Dropped curn entrance has keep clear line with T ends. and you can park after it. This is correct & the above should have been like this. between the double yellow lines. Or if the white line had been in effect a broken white line. Which does not appear to have been in place. Double error? I shouldnt be parked here. But i just paused to get a better photo of the white line with T ends across entrances. You obviously Can cross over this line INTO the entrance, but not park ON THE PAVEMENT. It is ACCESS.

Double yellow lines around this corner. I am certain there is no parking allowed on that pavement. This was posted in the Hello & welcome thread... A set police mobile camera site by a nature park. Bollards FORCE no parking on the pavement here. Which I suspect is not allowed in a lay by, as it evades the entire point. SHOULD POLICE MOBILE VEHICLES EVER HAVE DONE THIS? Points. Lay-by design is that the taper is for access & entry of long vehicles. The police vehicle would obstruct this. If the parking square was at the rear it would be blocked by other users AND obstruct correct exit design as well. My verdict is this "THE POLICE CAN DO WHAT THE FUCK THEY WANT, RIGHT, CHIEF? AND WHO IS GOING TO STOP THEM? THE MAYOR? It is assumed that police are not supposed to park on the pavement from this image. Someone has put up a notice. was it the police? Why were my notices removed but this one has been left in place? Its obviously a joke.

Bus stop square, obviously not to be parked over onto the curb as pedestrians are stood waiting for the bus there. Single yellow line with bollards, they REALLY dont want you to park on the pavement or drive on it. Same here. Even more so. Here the locals are parked on the pavement. But NOT where the double yellow lines are. The provided parking is full. They could park on the road, but have choosen not to for reason of clear road. In London they might get a parking ticket? I am guessing its being waivered here? There IS room to pass on the pavement for prams, but there are bollards to protect pedestrians. Im guessing an accidental reverse could potentially hit a pedestrian? Im not saying anything to them though. No comment. Yellow line & bollard? please keep vehicle off pavement here? should have been double yellow? has it faded off? I really dont think they want cars on the pavement here by this crossing... Dont park on the bus stop! oh, ok. Well, its still got to get around you? probably why they are long boxes? Why not just use double red lines? or those double yellow with stripes up the curb? it just seems silly to me to use 2 types at once. Could this be to get you to drive faster and be made to look like a faster road when there are 30mph mobile cameras on here? country lanes are like this at National speed limit! narrower too. I smell chiefs farts here.. and Mayor jizz.

The locals here are clearly NO impressed with the road markings!? what are those diagonal white lines even for? I will have to look it up. Is it residents only? They are not on the pavement anyway.. I really dont think you are supposed to park on the pavement here. This sign says Taylors funeral services. Solid single white edge line. not to cross over. Broken edge line you can cross, but isnt that for entrances? why have anything at all there? is this a cycle lane? I will have to see if there is a cycle lane, but can bikes cross a solid white line? are there different types or colours or styles? Can any person even fit through this style? the next one on is wider! Ok so cycle lanes have broken & unbroken. And there are other variations on colour & signage as well. The thing is with this Manchester road... Its WIDE road. it should be 40Mph not 30mph. But there are a lot of cars parked along it, right. Residents. So they have made it 30mph. But if there are always lots of parked cars, why have a cycle lane? as the broken line sections will rarely be usable by bikes? The removed white line in earlier photos must be a cycle lane line, which I didnt think of because of the double yellows. I havent even noticed the cycle lane signs! and the logo is suposed to be repeated as well. It seems this road is a bit of a mess up regarding the road markings. How about this Lay-by for Abnormal loads only, with a police parking square slap bang in the middle of both entrance & exit? Why is it, that whenever there is mobile speed camera presence on a road, there seems to be a hella lot of errors & mistakes around? like it reeks of Chief & Mayor piss? like a Lemony Snicket?

How come that one minute this "Bike lane" is narrow, then it goes to wide? as if it is not a bike lane but parking markings? Is there a set width for bike lanes? I will have to look it up. And are bike lanes supposed to have those "diagonal lines across them, like where the Mr. Bean Land rover was parked?

peace. Not my artwork. there is another on the main road.. Tom Lane. This one is not correct. I dont thik it should go across the side road, as there is pavement. I dont think they could be bothered to change to the white colour road markings. Signal Park. 20 degrees C. Signal Park with red tractor. Farm traffic do NOT always have required indicators! and in fact a few month ago I saw a tracot & trailer make a huge skid mark on the road, because the brakes were shabby. Like an old farm trailer. Do they need M.O.T.? This was when I stopped & passed the black cat & standard fireworks explosives licence place. lol. These photos are all in order from today. Castle Hill view. A bit of a rest from road markings... Really is tedious. Another Simon Taylor attack on the conservatives? Almondbury parking & passing issues. This is where a cat once ran out in front of me & I had to bury it. The owner was away in Egypt?! It was unfamiliar with the area. They have replaced the lovely grass with concrete. Another secret "Jinx" to the streets from Kirklees council. You can never park at the chinese take away and the markings are not correct.

I am pretty certain you are NOT allowed on the pavement here because its a bus stop & yellow line. ALSO the pavement is raised as extra prevention and for access onto the bus. NO! duh. Ok so a road into MELTHAM. with some more bus stops and these event posters... centre markings but no side lines. It is supposed you can stop here. Can you park on the pavement blocking the way? What is going on with the white diagonal lines at the OTHER bus stop across?? they look like pedestrian refuge lines. I will have to look them up. But why no bus stop there? Can those cars park on the diagonal lines? More fun fair signs pasted up... not taken down by the police or council? They have permission? Or an old gypsy law. Ok, so these bus stops are NOT parallel to each other, so if there are 2 buses, you have room to pass them both. Also assumed not to drive onto the pavement where the single yellow line is? You CAN cross the broken divide lines to overtake a bus here. Here the bus stops are parallel?! i dont think they should be. How do you get around a BUS thats stopped on a big country road? the centre lines are double - no over taking! you will be driving at 50mph and the other bus stop is opposite!? is this to STOP you trying to overtake a bus? you ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE YOUR SPEED EFFECTED BY OTHER VEHICLES! I dont think a Bus stop on this type of road when you cannot get around it is clever!? Seems obstructive to me.

I liked this advert in the Co-op. Although I do not eat baked beans. There is something wrong with this photograph. When I took it, im certain the road was in the shot.. Hmmm.. Anyway the double yellow lines go right across, i think? And Im certain they shouldnt? If i have got this whole double yellow lines thing wrong then sorry. I guess it depends if there is pavement or no pavement. But if there is no pavement you cannot drive onto it can you!? But side roads, even little ones should have broken white line, like the broken white edge line, and give way? ? This should have the "keep clear" white line across it with T . Community Priest. They had a wooden tree sculpture here with a huge Squirrel carved into it, but its gone now. I get annoyed at Blair & Browns School fences, like military bases. No one can visit their old school & walk around there now... no Nostalgia. I tried to visit my Old School and had to look from the edge. No more memorys or reminise. Why did they do it? its not THAT dangerous!! Traffic only matters at break times & home times! there arent THAT many paedofiles around. I call propaganda. Something strange. more Blair Witch project. How about that Scotland video im trying to find from the speed awareness course, with questionable accident? You cannot even take "decent honest" photos of children anymore. Also, how the hell do you know what is going on in schools anymore? Its like people are "kept out" do we even know whats going on in lessons? do they still do parent evenings? I worry about these Private schools. They call kids a "Basterd" if their parents have split up or gone off... But how about these "posh kids" on TV. Their parentsdont seem to worry that "they" havent taught them! them completely entrust them with these "private teachers" like a Eaton. And then we get Cameron & Co. To me they might as well be Basterds as well, if they havent been taught by their own parents. WHO ARE these teachers at these Eaton schools & Oxford? THEY are the ones PRIMING the politicians of tomorow... and the other ones who come from less well off backgrounds are trained by the school of hard knocks, go get it. - "The War of the Roses" ? There was a guy on T.V. with a loada money an ex gypsy guy with a helicopter who wanted to teach his children himself. It seemed there were mixed attitudes on that program. Anyway..

Have they been secretly feeding them up with go go juice? Faster, faster faster? Win, Win, Win? Genius! look at all the problems solved! and the Uk Bank account is booming! err.. Well.. Britain is booming? Nobody will challenge the contenders! I wonder if they have all been circumscised as well?

Ok. This is not a bike lane I dont think. Its a white edge line, not to cross. except where broken to use the entrance or side. So, the pro's and cons of this one is that they have just gone down the whole road with the line, when there are a number of side roads and entrances. On a farm road it would even have broken lines at EVERY little gate into a field. This example here is questionable. They just keep switching sides with the white line?! with no real reason as the entrances are random. So why bother at all? Wrong. Wrong? Keep clear. Cross over but dont stop there!

Ok COACH! Coach parking seems acceptable right in the centre as all the other vehicles can drive around them. Heavy matric cris cross of yellow lines. it says keep clear. Im guesing no NOT park on it. do NOT stop, drive, cross or park on the pavement by it as access to the building required. ? Here you can park all the way up both sides AND they even made a special little pull in as well! simples! This one seems a bit silly to me. It has a huge keep clear way too wide and then it has a little regular side street marking but its too far back? They might have trouble with tourists here, but thats no excuse. if its a side road, it needs to meet the main road correctly with the broken line that you dont park on. seems like a D.I.Y. job to me.

Dropped curbsOk, so a guy at work got done for parking his motorbike next to a dropped curb. Have a look at these examples... Dropped curb, near a corner. Double yellow lines go across where the dropped curb is. (not effected by box junction) But here they stop by the dropped curb?! what has that got to do with the traffic lights?! You tell me, if I am not getting it. They stop for the pub entrance! Across this dropped curb? They STOP for this entrance! I do like how they turned a pub into Dominoes pizza!

Broken lines for this entrance! no bike lane though! The solid line goes to broken lines for this road, no driving on the grass, but you can stop here. Someone has chucked a strange red plastic triangle on this road as well.. So, you can park on any part of this pavement if you are a mobile speed camera van. but you can not stop there. ?
