James Harris Simmons
The only thing with James... is his way of looking at the world..
Interpretation, art... and the fundamental perceptions of "what is".
What IS his Hypothesis? The equation? Form , shape, matter... lalala...
It's a plan, drawing, basis..
But it is only thought and drawing out symbolism of what he wants to apply to "real objects"
He talks about real numbers and imaginary numbers
But why say numbers?
Because really numbers are used only as representations of objects... things..
You might as well really only use the actual real objects and imaginary objects
So... we start with nothing..
We put an apple on Socrates table. +1
Then another +2 until we have 9 apples
We say this is the square root of 3
We minus 2 squared.. (4)
5 apples are left
That was not so difficult.
We know that all the apples were on the table. And 5 still are
We now say that we will remove the square root of 5 apples..(25)
So that is minus 20 apples? Right or wrong?
So there are no apples on the table because the 5 were removed as well as going Into minus apples.
We are in overdraft of 20 apples that we don't have. But where are they? Really?
This is supposed to be why we have maths and a mind to think of these things and imagine and understand and plan.
To calculate.
The 20 other apples could be anywhere..
Depending on which apples they are, which we were thinking of in the original calculation.
We said minus apples for our square root but which ones were we thinking of? Ones on trees or ones in a shop we know of or ones in someone's fruit bowl?
Ones in Socrates apple farm?
Let's say we pull up every apple tree.
And burn it.
And burn every apple seed on earth and every apple.
We now have no apples.
So we can't do the actual real numbers example using apples.
Unless we substitute apples for oranges.
We can use illustrations..
Unless you burn all the pencils and pens on earth.
So we could inscribed it into stone...
Like on the Newgrange bouler rock..
But if we powder every rock on earth to dust... we have no rock to inscribed it into...
So we can only think of it in our minds..
So socrates... is stood there in Ancient Greece.. looking a lot like James Harris Simmons...
He is thinking of apples and pencils and boulders.. but none exists..
He wants to make some...
As he thought of the idea..
He wants a hell of a lot of them...
Billions...
Billions of boulders and pens and apples..
So.. how is he going to get them?
They don't exist yet...
Luckily he can talk. And he tries to explain and describe his idea to a friend.. Caesar...
But as those things have never existed he cant describe them to Caesar..
"I want" "some things" says Socrates to Caesar
What type of things? Asks Caesar..
" big things" "lots of big things"
"Huge things"
"I can't draw them or show you them or explain them to you though"
But.. I'll tell you what....
If you can solve my problem I will give you 1 billion dollars...
"At least I have that", says Socrates.
