Its looking like nearly every single speed camera site around the Bristol Avon area has unlawful road signage connected with it. Here is some important travel and road safety information for the week commencing 27th June 2016. Have you been issued a speeding ticket (N.I.P.) notice of intended prosecution originating from the Bristol and Avon area within the last week? Or even recent 12 months? You May be entitled to a refund or the charges being reversed. I found this Article in a Gooogle News search under "speed cameras" two days ago. LINK> www.bristolpost.co.uk/speed-camera-locations-in-and-around-bristol-for-week-commencing-june-27-2016/story-29447760-detail/story.html (so the police say) It lists speed camera enforcement commencing Jun 27th, which is 5 days ago (Today is the 2nd June) And it usually takes about a week for a Notice of Intended Prosecution (N.I.P.) to arrive from the police. So these locations are (according to the published data) relevent NOW for Prosecution notices being issued at this time to Drivers who were alledgedly exceeding the speed limit at the listed locations.. be it a Fixed camera, Hidden camera or Mobile enforcement van. Section .85 of the road traffic act sets out legislation which the police use of speed and laser technology guidelines is based on. Drivers cannot be convicted and evidence is not submissible for prosecution if the required signage does not comply with TSRGD and following manuals. There are also litigation and insurance issues with the liability of police and council. I Decided to go to Bristol today (02 June) and survey as many of the Locations on the list as I could. I did use google maps but it is not up to date as recent as today! I didnt get around to as many of the locations as I wanted to! There are 91 listed! I would have liked to have done at least the 20 Bristol ones. Anyway.. I did about 9 locations (the first 9 listed) And here is what I found, using the Traffic Signs Manual CHAPTER 3, Regulatory signs 2008 to survey the signs with. And a steel ruler & tape measure. I found incorrect, unmaintained, wrong size, unlawfull road signage at EVERY location! I also did a little LTI Ultralyte LR 100 speed gun session at one of the locations. I do not know the exact mobile camera positions. But My evaluation of the road signage is correct to the best of my ability. I am a Professional delivery driver with an GCSE A in English and C in Mathematics. I have experience in photography and media/film making. I am not a police officer, but I am Authorized by HM Government to conduct a Political petitioning campaign & can research, investigate and present material for political demonstrative purposes to the public. Any person can do Police work & submit it to the Crown Prosecution Service. I am uploading the Video from today. 11.3gb - 3h 27min! Here are the results from the 9 survey locations... I found at least one if not more deliberately place incorrect unlawfull sized, never placed and unmaintained instances at every one of the below locations that is not in compliance with the requirements in the 2008 Traffic signs manual: regulatory signs. Bristol:1. A4 Portway Nr Hung Road (40mph) Site: 0151Unlawful Terminal sign configuration into the speed limit. & possible incorrect size 40mph repeater signs (should be 300mm) 2. A4 Portway Nr Sylvan Way/Riverleaze (40mph) Site: 0145Not lawful 40mph repeater sign size according to the Manual tables for prescribed repeater sign sizes. Terminal sign incorrect size (Oversized) not the prescribed size (odd set not matching pair) 3. A4 Totterdown Bridge (30mph) Site: 3102Roundabout entrance to the listed road does not comply with minimum terminal sign requirements on/off roundabout for adjacent roads. Manual states reasons for adequate signage at enforcement roads and roundabouts. 4. A403 St Andrews Road, Avonmouth (40mph) Site: 0172No Police enforcement signs in place at this location that I could see. The Roundabout speed limit signs do not meet minimum requirements for enforced roads with multiple speed limit roads converging together at the roundabout. Incorrect sized/distances repeater signage at the road. 5. A4174 Callington Road, Brislington, Bristol (30mph) Site: 3193Roundabout speed limit signage not present/or correct to minimum requirements entering the road/leaving the road 6. B3119 West Town Lane (20mph) Site: 0242Incorrect terminal sign configuration on side road speed limits. Mismatching size/unlawful size terminal sign present at road. Not prescribed size. 7. B4054 Avonmouth Road, Shirehampton (30mph) Site: 0164Terminal signs are too large not the prescribed size. Visibility distance is too soon and causes drivers to speed up too early. Roundabout speed limit signs do not meet minimum requirements. 8. B4054 Shirehampton Road, Sea Mills (30mph) Site: 0057Speed limit terminal signs are not the prescribed size. Incorrect size terminal signs entering from nearby side road. (these two issues at each end of the roads speed limit areas) 9. B4057 Knole Lane, Brentry (30mph) Site: 0120Incorrect terminal signs at roundabout do not meet minium requirements and terminal speed limit signs are too large, not the correct prescribed size. Also various foilage overgrowth covering terminal signs up as of today 02 July 2016, not trimmed or maintained. Many faded signs unmaintained around & about the above areas. I predict that there will be similar issues at all of the listed locations from the Bristol Post speed camera list for enforcement commencing 27th July 2016 - N.I.P. letters being issued now. There are 20 locations for Bristol & 91 in total for the Avonmouth county area. I most likely will use google maps to survey all of the other published locations.

The local Authority seem to like to use 750mm terminal signs instead of, or oddly placed alongside 600mm ones.. (that does not comply with bracket size options which supposedly are to enable neat fitting signs) and 600mm or 450mm repeater signs for 40mph instead of the prescribed 300mm. Many are not maintained - dirty, faded outer circles or hidden in foilage. Roundabout signage is a huge problem across the country. Where often inadequate signage does not meet the minumum requirements for enforcement and it should be above the minimum requirement in many instances where different roads converge that have different speed limits.
The 20mph trend in Bristol has a lot of hilly locations in & around bends where the enforcement site used by police vehicles carrys drivers over the speed limit by terrain changes. Deliberately placed signs incorrect size at these places can effect drivers reacting to them too soon and speeding up too early when leaving a lower speed limit into a higher one.

Ok so i went back Sunday 03 July, got the remaining Bristol locations surveyed and the locations listed as North Somerset and a couple more... Video to follow... Bristol continued:10. Barnstaple Road, Knowle (20mph) Site: 0246The only location i have found no unlawful road signs although there is a sealed off roundabout and speed bumps. Possibly as its a unique one way system near 20mph & 30mph areas it should have speed limit signs off the junctions? This location out of all of them was unique and on the way back seemed to stand out as a joke comparison to the M32 motorway roundabout - also sealed off from driving around it properly. 11. Broomhill Road (30mph) Site: 3086Mini roundabout Junction at the end of the road no terminal signs off the exits. Speed limit signs are set back on one of the exits, not at the roundbout. (20+30mph areas in the vicinity. There are 2 Broomhill Roads, so can easily get mixed up. One is further away and on a steep hill. I did visit both. 12. Feeder Road, Bristol (30mph) Site: 3051I question if the sign configuration is lawfull because in the manual, at a dogleg junction it says you only have signs entering the side road, not leaving it. Thus these 20/30mph roads are unique to the special modern 20mph zones of Bristol & I do not think they have done them correct to the manual. (needs checking) obviously you would only find this on main roads & countryside but as this is newer signing of residential areas it is an "anomaly" to Bristols extensive 20mph zones. 13. Kings Weston Lane, Lawrence Weston (30mph) Site: 0176incorrect size 40mph repeater signs (60cm) should be 30cm. Foilage overgrowth covering signs. Roundabout does not conform to minimum signage requirements. 14. Long Cross, Lawrence Weston (30mph) Site: 0178750mm Terminal signs wrong size should be 600mm. roundabout does not conform to minimum requirements. Signs not maintained straight or clean. Side road sign configuration required checking. 15. Queen's Road, Bishopsworth (30mph) Site: 3252Terminal signs dirty not maintained for reflectivity at night. and incorrect size 750mm (should be 600mm) Also check side road sign configuration. 16. Smyth Road, Ashton (20mph) Site: 002820mph repeater signs have faded below the standard for functional visibility distance. Some signs have gone completely nearly. Terminal signs at the end of the road are not the same height. 17. Stoke Hill, Sneyd Park (30mph) Site: 0065Location of enforcement not clear to establish. Side road configuration requires re-checking. If 30mph speed limit is enforced by the nearby traffic light camera then it could be here. The Stop line at traffic lights is 310mm (should be 300mm) and the inductive loops are before (and after) the stop line. Is this Correct for this camera type? Gatso? I have seen variations 18. Sturminster Road, Stockwood (30mph) Site: 3101Dog leg junction. Question the sign configuration. Manual suggests only signs off the main road, not onto it. Thus possibly unlawful configuration. (unique anomaly to Bristol 20mph/30mph zones?) 19. Whitchurch Lane, nr Hawkfield Road (20mph) Site: 0240The location is next to the following location. Foilage overgrowth over 20mph repeater sign. illegal 30mph repeater sign in place on the parallel road that should not be there & is illegal. misinforms driver on 20mph road. Obstruction & illegal. Incorrect size terminal speed signs 750mm at the end of the road junction turning into it. (should be 600mm) 20. Whitland Road, Bristol (20mph) Site: 0087Connected with above location Whitchurch lane/same road. North Somerset:21. A368 Green Hill Road, Sandford (30mph) Site: 2241Terminal speed signs too big. 750mm (should be 600mm) Bushes overgrown over signs & dirty unmaintained. Pedestrian crossing sign red triangle completely white. unlawfull sign & danger to children. 22. A370 Bristol Road, Congresbury (30mph) Site: 2074Terminal signs too large 750mm (should be 600mm) not correct prescribed size. foilage overgrown over signs so not visible. Unmaintained. 23. A371 Knightcott Road, Banwell (30mph) Site: 0198Terminal signs too large size and speed sign numbers have faded off. Incorrect prescribed size & unmaintained. 24. B3124 Bristol Road, Portishead (30mph) Site: 2248Roundabout does have correct sign configuration, but on leaving the road the signs are not maintained. Red turned to pink & faded off a lot. nearby triangle warning signs by school a mixture of red & pink I believe for a rouse to the speed sign fade legality onto roundabout. 25. Winscombe Hill, Winscombe (30mph) Site: 2077Street lighting distance further than 200yds and 30mph repeater signs suspected to be too far apart. only a couple on the road. drives Past woodland walk. Terminal signs completely missing in one direction at the end of the road! not present! leaving the 30mph zone. Not lawful signage. Incomplete. South Gloucestershire:27. A4174 Bromley Heath (50mph) Site: 0024Dual carriageway & roundabout network bypass. Many of the signs are oversized from 30mph roundabouts. Too large, not prescribed sizes. And also large signs unmaintained very faded numbers & outer circles. Also 2+ car lanes suspected to be enforced on this road as well. Dirty unaligned repeater signs. Police camera operator has NOT done required signs checks. Lots of incorrect size terminal signs at these roundabouts. 43. Blackhorse Road, Mangotsfield (30mph) Site: 0162450mm (45cm) Terminal signs?! really!? is it a joke?! Should be 60cm. very very wrong. Rare find. ? I also Checked the road by the two fixed cameras in Stroud on the way back.. Stroud:Cainscross road, Beards lane (30mph) Site ?The roundabouts at each end of the road do not meet minimum signage requirements. One has double/triple roundabout with 20mph & 30mph exits, thus minimum requirement adjacent speed limit signs should be in place to avoid confusion. Sunday video 03 july...uploading now, 13.7gb

Please sign all my petitions which are linked on the main petition page at www.bentcop.bizAnd help put an end to the use and placement of unsafe road signage and unlawfully enforced road traffic prosecutions. (Actually I cannot remember if I do have a C in Mathematics. I have a GCSE C in History & Biology though.

Bristol Post will make me pay to advertise, I am not allowed a free advert! Ok so here are a couple of little newspaper adverts I just put out... except the Bristol post press will not let me have a "Free" advert in the classifieds section or a paid one. Even though it is a public notice. They say I have to put it in the main newspaper section. Bristol post, Macclesfield Express & Wakefield xpress & Yorkshire Post. Although I think most people are dim, dont care or else my website figures are being altered I dont think I will use "The Sun" anymore because they have pissed me off. They dont care about people, just print things for efffect, to upset people. Just like David Camerons Government strategy. In fact if they had just followed the rules & would not even be having to do this. The Police & Government are their own failures. The Newspaper just runs a loada crap. In fact If it is within my power I am going to end all Newspaper tabloids, because they are waste of time & harmfull to society. They had their chance. & took the opposite side. Knobheads.

Ok. I will have to upload the videos in 2 parts or it will be too long again! I can't find which radio station the road signs being covered in Bushes was mentioned on... But there is quite a few council websites you can report it to. They seem to say the house owners have to trim. But that's not country roads with no houses. Seems more an issue in Devon than Yorkshire.... I did find this website that lists roadworks live issues. So no reason they cannot report unlawful road enforcement sites as well! www.bbc.co.uk/travel/bristol/incidents/road/roadworksHeres a location when the memory card was full (obviously enough for a couple photos) at the last place i visited that day. only one sign. 2 views/directions

I have had 3 newspaper classified adverts cancelled & refunded! £10, £10 and £32! getting really annoyed with the newspaper now. Why do they just not "move it into the appropriate section" ?? Their advert menu is really limited and only a few groups control most of the countrys newspapers! The Information fields are so inconsistent it just does not accomodate for any kind of freedom to place adverts. really stupid set "birthday" and "Celebration" menus. so crap. Anyway.. Now I am getting put off because every time they stop it, it is draining your will carry on trying. Just like the Police Ticket offices! I am getting sick of it. I am going to complain to the onbudsman on grounds of "refusal of service" This particular rejection is from Newsquest North West. and they do not even have a contact phone number Or else they are all for different newspapers, not the central classifieds advertising centre. I really need to focus on Macclesfield & finding a good lawyer, if they exist. I dont think I will go back to Bristol this Weekend to do the remaining location surveys. I have also been "mentally trained" by the police & courts "Not to be able to face opening letters" because it is like headbutting a brick wall.. soul draining & dissapointment every time. No wonder people in the country are sad because they think they cannot get anywhere in life. With all the rejection around. To Truth & fact. The Government is a "frozen machine" that does not function. Its like all the legitimate working faculties have been "latched up" and "locked" and will not function correctly. Due to "staff problems". I hope at least one of the adverts has got through...

Ok so there is this newspaper story just out about the foilage overgrowth around Bristol! m.bristolpost.co.uk/road-sign-on-busy-bristol-commuter-obliterated-in-ivy-following-council-weedkilling-cutbacks/story-29515636-detail/story.htmlPossibly related to the radio feature over the issue that i was told about by the walkers. Still no acknowledgement of the incorrect and missing road signs and the unlawful enforcement situation... But it is at least a partial coverage of the issue. I wonder if the police or council funded "speed surveys" might accomodate a dual survey scheme. Speed surveys with trimmed and correctly prescribed road signage maintained vs speed surveys with road signage "as found". This key information could be used to compile important professional figures and statistics for the national database and police accident investigation research. Undoubtedly the police and council have priority for certain areas.

Wow, sooOOOooo!! On Sunday I set off to Survey the Remaining Bristol Speed camera enforcement location, Published in the Bristol Post Newspaper.. for Enforcement commencing the 27th June 2016. There were 91 locations around the Bristol/Avon constabulary area published for enforcement the following days, weeks at those roads. I had been down 2 times already & managed to get about half of the locations surveyed for Road signage legality for enforcement validity. This Sunday the 17th July I set off and started surveying the remaining 50 odd or so locations that I had not had time to do the previous visits. I managed to get two of my Monday Deliveries done as well on Sunday for Work! to Stroud and Swindon! and return to the surveying! I set off from home abour 12:15 Sunday lunch time! Taco Bell in Barnsley was not open untill 11:00 so i coulsnt get a Volcane Burrito! boo! Anyway... I worked all Sunday and did surveying and deliveries! I worked surveying all through the night! There were a few surprises in store for me! One Survey was right by an Ancient Monument site that I did not even know about! Absolutely amazing! I did not have time for sight seeing though! I had to continue with the Survey for the important petition Work! I worked until about 05:22am Monday morning! and then headed for the Oxford delivery for 9:00 am! A big house with lands, gates and a Butler! he was really nice to me & I gave him a petition sticker/notice! he has had a speeding ticket before and will look at my website! He said good work for campaigning! The Swindon Delivery on Sunday Evening was a AMAZING countryside house with a converted barn at the side where a foreign couple were renting, or had bought! really awesome place. I did not film it. But i got one cheeky photo! it was up some outside old stairs to the upper barn flat! quite small inside, smaller than a Terrace house but at a beautifull location! Anyway.. Forward again to Monday... I did the Bicester Delivery actually before 9:00 was there before they turned up at the buisness i delivered to near the old Traffic Safety systems place! Than I headed for home! I had to go to sleep at Leicester Forest Services as I was SoOOOoo tired! and the pesky phone rang just as i had got to get some rest.. from an UNKNOWN NUMBER!! Grrr. Anyway.... Pretty Stoked that I got around all the locations!! The video will take a while! Its Tuesday now! and I only just started to make the movie from hundreds of clips! Its saying it will be about 6 Hours 48 Minutes long! and 11.8GB file! I did record at lower quality though! as i would not have been able to film all the locations on both phones memory! I have lost about 3 files though when the phone crashed The Filming for this Video was done in just under 30 Hours and the trip was nearly 48 hours long! I will update the Thread with all the Remaining Bristol Road sign Location reports!! Please bear with me.. the video will take possibly a whole day to upload!? I also got evidence from Warrington today! of a Police car with 2 Officers using a LTI true speed on a road with Trees growing over the road signs and the officers said you dont need road signs at all! Later I spoke to a GOSafe North Wales camera van officer & he said the police at Warrington are WRONG! he does NOT enforce a road when a sign is covered by Trees or bushes! He checks them & reports it! He also was happy to Talk to me and will interview any time! Also he agrees that the Stop line for traffic Lights at Macclesfield should be either 200mm or 300mm exactly and can not be a different width! aso they dont have traffipax camera in North Wales! but they are using on TRIAL a NEW traffic light camera by a company called RED! So I will be sending this evidence to Simon Byrne! Also in Newspapers today a LORD of the House of Lords has escaped prosecution because the other Lords used an ancient Law!! Just like I am doing with the petition! So possibly the Crown Prosecution service will have to accept that Mine is also valid as well!! for the petition work protection! Apparently even when the Judge said that the Lords protection was valid, the CPS were still trying to "get around it" and ask for Legal advice!! the Judge told them to "go to Timbucktoo!" apparently and that they must give up trying when they will not accept it! because they are wrong! So they obviously are retarded that is evidence there, they cannot accept it when they are wrong!
