A video made a couple months ago, that I didnt get around to uploading....
Example of the visibility distance of 5mph repeater signs coming past from about 50meters?? no where near visible to about 100yards or less for visibility that instantly is off to the side out of field of view. (wide) at a speed of 50mph approx. (really wide road)
I Had the dashboard rest set up for the phone recorder, I just had to adjust the aim slightly, (after I adjusted the volume on the radio dial that is). You can no way see these as they are coming into visibility distance so fast and by that time they are to the side of the edge of visibility. The 2nd sign is the best example.... You can no way see them on approach, until its too late and they are past. Which is why we have specific size signs for different speed limits and it is very important, for both timing, psychological and subconscious factors with psychology and the time it takes to register and react. Also you would never believe it was 5mph on the motorway anyway. Lol. Roadwork's signs are about 8-11 MPH. But someone might actually believe that was a motorway speed limit sign for 5mph on the main motorway!
