This is a modern speed laser device that does feature some calibration and target adjustment features.
I still think a distance measurement would need to be confirmed to correctly calibrate the distance was measured correctly.
With a normal gun, you never know the exact distance, you only know estimated distance to calibrate the sight. and that is only for alignment of target to the firing line.
The reason a laser speed device is so different to a GUN is that in involves an EXCHANGE. A sending AND RETURN. not just firing a bullet.
Thus it is a 2 way system. Not one way. to obtain the result.
That is why the exact distance with a laser speed device being 100% accurate is in fact more important than the actual sight itself.
In fact.... every target you fire the laser at, in truth requires a confirmation that distance was correct, for the confirmed reading to be verified. Even if the sight has been correctly aligned.
If you had a gun.... were shooting at people and no-one was dropping dead.. you would be informed that either you were a bad shot or that there might be no bullets in the gun.. or else the target enemy or person was immune from your bullets or ammunition.
ANOTHER predicted encounter with a safety camera van....
I call that one will be on my delivery run.. and one is! straight away as soon as I get onto the A19!
So I get to ask some questions about the calibration and laser details! and ask if he has read the 2002 manual! Like I said the other day.. next time i encounter a camera van I will ask.. & I did the Laser pointer pen demo for him as well!

Lazser motion measurement evidence gathering (above car height safe line of testing directly at a road sign, as per police calibration directions for laser speed device)
Haslingden Sunday 27th March
Bank Holiday weekend. I go to Haslingden Bypass location where Callaghan was positioned for using the laser device against me.
I set up a little measurement test experiment to measure the movement of passing vehicles and how it effects stability. It turns out that the aim is effected more while you are touching the device than when it is left alone. Also when the device is fixed to a solid table in the vehicle, the kinetic energy is greater than if it is simply on a tripod, on a carpet.
An idiot turns up and interupts my measurements just as i am about to finish! and ruins my experiment, and i simply can not get the target lined back up again after that! impossible! so i gave up! then on my way back the Police was going the other way.. came back around and pulled me over near the M60/M62 interchange, supposedly rang by that guy!?. (I cannot see how he would ring them while he was driving though, or call 999. He would most likely just take my REG number and phone 101 to report it later, so I am dubious that he really called 999.,( Also remember the A580 incident when work rang me to say the policxe had just seen me and not to put stickers up! but why would they ring work, to ring me?! why not get a patrol car like this incident?!) ANYWAY...But when the police officer actually did pull me on this occasion he says i am ok! and lets me go! after i have explained everything to him about what i was doing and my encounter with the stupid guy.. (i didnt get the police car reg number! but he was wearing glasses) So anyway.. i drive back... I when I get back I then go film the laser to prove that it cannot be seen in day and the guy earlier was just kicking off to be an ass. As the laser does not shine strong in daytime at all. Also afterwards when i eventually watch the first video, the laser has not even become visible AT ALL ON THE SIGN! YOU CANNOT EVEN SEE IT!! but i could from the van, so it must only be visible in reflection from certain angles!? or else at night. you can see it indoors easy from other angles but not in that set-up!? see the videos anyway... the first video i set up first, and the incident with the guy while that other camera was over by the sign! then a few videos on the way back and i even catch ANOTHER dodgy traffic light sequenced as well!!! more evidence towards Macclesfield! for the sequence being possible to be changed by someone!
First i set up the first phone by the sign to be able to measure the amount of motion close up. (as it turns out the laser light is not even visible AT ALL! from this angle! you could only see it from the van position!!
Then i go back, set up the tripod and then do a NON holding test & a HOLDING test. but just about 30 seconds before i am finished and about to go, a guy pulls up, asking what i am doing! (thus i have to do more tests later on to prove that he was reacting just to "me being there" and not in fact the laser itself. (as i prove, you cannot see it when you drive past in the daytime) and i am wiling to bet that 1mw is as safe as the type of laser used in the police laser device, and for any danger it must be aimed directly at someones eye, with precision. And is relatively safe when aimed just in a "General direction" from far away.
The Footpath! I get to do a "proper" re-review and report of "the crossing" where Callaghan operated. And I complained to Viki Evans Professional standards Lancashire police concerning, in my ORIGINAL, extensive research of the entire area!
Points and comments on the way back, after I got pulled by police car, because of previous idiot. (but after reporting to the officer what happened and full explaination, he let me go. And said I was Good to go. As i was recording for police submission and sending in my videos to the police for evidence purposes! for my petition as well.
Than, just after mentioning earphones, i got the earphones ticket in a Mcdonalds voucher!?
Then i go to Emley Moor mast! in the Lay-by to see if I can see the laser pen, in daylight at all!! And i cannot notice it at all! the guy who pulled up could not have seen it! he was just attracted by me "being there in the lay-by" doing "something"...
I recorded the pen on the wing mirror with sellotape, but someone stopped my phone buttons from working and recording it!!
And A family pulled up in a car! and i asked them if they saw a red light or anything at all!! and they said NO! even when i pointed out where i had placed the pen, THEY COULDNT SEE IT! until i told them exactly where it was!!
THEN, when I found out that evidence of their testimony had not been recorded, my other phone switched off as well!! I managed to get one recording! there were THREE BLANK FILES from my first attempts to record the evidence!!

The obvious connection! Duh!
If you think about it as well.. VOLTAR, or Zoltar or whateve.. is like a Judge or Magistrate, with the Cylons being Speed camera operators "giving evidence" and saying "By your command" as if from Zoltar or the Chief police officer! Only The Chief has the judge and jury power as they can remove any conviction! More likeley the Police LORDS.
Im just getting a post ready for the Macclesfield thread with notes & photos from the Traffipax camera manual. and it uses the term "AUTO-MAN"
Its actually like the "radar profile scans" in the Traffipax manual! lol! as if! duh!
I do not actually believe that it is fair OR legal in LAW anyways to CHARGE someone with not being EXACT to a speed, when they have not been given a speedometer that is even is cabable of being as accurate as the LASER SPEED police device (when used correctly if thats possible) Because you do NOT have any readings that are any more accurate than the 1 meter stripes on the Haslingden Road even! for less than 1 meter!
Any to say... "Well it was over 50mph" or it was "over 57mph" is no good because if your prosecution cut off point is 57Mph in a 50mph road.. the speedometer is NOT ACCURATE to ADVISE THE DRIVER of the EXACT SPEED!
But the POLICE & CPS are "GIVING PERMIT TO EVEN BE AROUND THAT SPEED ANYWAY" !
That is the point here. They are Publishing that to even be between 50mph & 57Mph is acceptable.
Then when there is a dispute over the 57mph precision measurement.. they are turning their backs & saying.. "You are over 50mph" - but not accepting responsibility for allowing you to even permit that error in the first place... And on a road that IN FACT IS NATIONAL SPEED LIMIT ANYWAY! or WAS!
This is not 55mph in a 30mph or 40mph road! or 39mph or 45mph in what used to be 40mph but is 30mph now.
57,58,59,60mph on a road changed to 50mph is WELL UNDER the PREVIOUS 70Mph speed limit (National) WELL UNDER. And 58,59,60mph is only just arguably around the PERMITTED THRESHOLD (which most speedos are not even accurate to) and 50mph is 20mph LESS than the PREVIOUS speed limit.
Who would be driving at 40mph on a dual carriageway in a modern vehicle anyway? unless it is a wide load, tractor or special vehicle?
I do not actually believe it IS POSSIBLE to SAFELY WATCH THE ROAD while HOLDING a SPEEDOMETER at an EXACT SPEED. because it is a difficult task that requires attention to the speedometer & NOT THE ROAD AHEAD.
Ok, ive got this down now.... Simples anyway, I originaly did a photo sequence because it was easier to show off the computer and send in the post places like court & to the police..
But DUH, now It is slow motion with the google stopwatch.... with decimal seconds..
Do you think it WAS the RED CAR shaking the police van? or Callaghan aiming off to the side on purpose?
Do you think this WAS a genuine regular day for Callaghan (if he exists) or a specific set up by Lancashire police?
Anyway..... it is EXACTLY around 1 second, from the Van appearing from BEHIND the Central barrier to the 61mph speed reading appearing. They CLAIM its (about) 0.4 seconds to get a reading (if the laser itsnt always firing) and the display takes a few decimal to come on full even!
The target is CLEARLY AND OBVIOUSLY ON THE REAR WHEEL FOR A GOOD PART OF THAT SECOND! and its about 8.8s to 9.8s for the full second of time... and within the first half second the target it for CERTAIN UNDER THE VAN. And even when its above the bumper it moves from the right to the left!
This is STRONG EVIDENCE that the TARGET SHIFT IS FROM REAR OF VAN TO FRONT OF VAN.
ALSO to CONFIRM that I belive the REAL SPEED was UNDER 58Mph (Not 61mph) we can now see the van clearing the RED STRIPES afterwards... And they are 6 meters each ..and as we have said 2 stripes is 12 meters and you need to be HALF a second from strip to strip (2 strips)
And if you get the timer at 15, it is at STRIP... then 2 strips on IS 15.5 seconds, then another 2 is 16 seconds and then 16,5 seconds. And the vehicle is NOT covering more distance than that. It is EASY within that time or on it... its not 13 meters or over. 12 meters plus 1/2 a meter each stripe would be between the very extremes of the stripes. Exactly on the stripes or within the two stripes over the 12 meters will be UNDER 58mph and could be 51mph. it is NOT over 58mph at all. - added to the Rear Wheel jack stunt, its obvious what Callaghan is doing with the laser trickery.
So I claim that the speed IS in fact somewhere between 51mph and 57mph and NOT 61mph
And this is some crazy set-up.
The National Speed Limit signs ARE NOT IN PLACE, thus the 50mph terminal signs cannot be validated for approach size and speed, as well as the M66 not having the Correct Motorway ENDING SIGNS.
a Foot Bridge SHOULD be in place and Callaghan (if He exists) has been filming locals using a muddy slippery footpath with his camera all day.
I actualy believe that the Predator timer & infra red laser has been influenced by the Tele-traffic devices (or early laser) NOT displaying the true TIMER, and "Hiding" the true decimal speed & other informations.

I have good reason for Requesting Finnegan REMOVE the Penalty points from my Driving Licence by the DVLA. Which IS within his powers to do so. Just like the Rawden , Leeds fines were returned as well when the Traffic regulation order was wrong in 2005. As reported by the local Newspaper there.

Or for rear tyre to front bumper... quantum leap of 12.7 meters per half second to 25.4 meters per half second (113.6 mph) and then a reduction leap back to 21.7 meters per half second all within 0.5 seconds could result in a reading of 61 mph within a half second time slot.

what is the maximum acceleration threshold the device can read 113.6mph in?
if tracking a formula one racing car or other object, can the device read a speed of 113.6mph (113mph) from zero mph within 0.5 seconds? with a dead straight aim, not moving the device at all keeping it still.
yes or no? or is the software designed to prevent this from being possible?
Also for a proper scientific professional measurement to be made, the origin of the measurement given MUST be recorded. The exact position of the device is NOT recorded unlike with a professional scientific measurement or survey.
why is no second/decimal timer displayed on the device? and a START marker of measurement and exact end marker of measurement time and position?
why is the speed reading not given to a decimal place? when distance is?
